I'm leaving Berlin, finally, after two months of waiting out the cold. It's been a really lovely, fun time and I've been glad to have various roofs over my head during the cold months, but I'm very happy to be on the road again.
I've decided to get the train to Verona in Italy, because it'll be (slightly) warmer there and crossing the alps in February doesn't appeal to me. I'll be back in summer!
So I'll be following (vaguely) the Via Francigena to Rome, through Bologna, Florence and Siena, and maybe some of the coast, and then on to Sicily!
